Games & Playing Cards Board games and playing cards are available
for student use. Contact Melissa Hague for the availability.

TechArts2
The gallery opening was on Tuesday, April 11, in the NEIT Library.
All students, alumni, faculty and staff were invited to exhibit
their artwork at the TechArts event. The exhibit will be displayed
for the remainder of the Spring 2006 Quarter.
Club
Recruitment Fair
The Club Recruitment Fair was held on March 30. At this event,
students and faculty had the opportunity to learn about the different
clubs on campus. All NEIT student clubs are open to all students
from any technology. Participation in some technical club activities
may require that a student possess certain technical proficiencies
in order to participate fully. The next Club Recruitment Fair will
be held on Thursday, July 27 in the courtyard of the CT Building.
SkillsUSA
RI Competition Results
Twelve NEIT SkillsUSA student members participated in the recent
RI SkillsUSA competition. An awards program was held on Wednesday,
March 29 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet where eight of the participants
were awarded medals.

April 5, 14, 19, 28, May 3, 12, 17, and 24. Students may play between
the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. It is FREE! Space is limited.

Phi Theta Kappa - Project Graduation 2006
May 1 - 5, 2006 - Feed a Body, Feed a Mind
The mission of Project Graduation is to battle the social issues
of hunger and low literacy skills by collecting non-perishable
food items and books during college commencement season for distribution
to needy recipients through community relief agencies and literacy
organizations. This initiative urges graduates, students, faculty
and staff to make a difference by bringing canned goods and children's
books to NEIT during May 1-5 for distribution to local service
agencies. The times and locations for the drop off will be announced.

Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) Tournament
The DDR tournament will be held on Tuesday, May 2 at 11:15 a.m.
in the NEIT game room. If you have the moves and the coordination

Blood Drive
The RI Blood Center will be conducting a Blood Drive on February
9, 2006. The Blood Drive will be located in the CT Bldg. Student
Lounge from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Mobile Donor Coach will
at the Access Road Campus between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 1:00
p.m.

Pool Tournament
Space is limited to the first 16 students who sign-up.
The first 16 students to sign-up by emailing Melissa Hague will
be divided into two groups of eight (the first eight students
to sign-up will be Group A, the last eight students to sign-up
will be Group B). The winner of Group A and the winner of Group
B will play each other for the overall pool tournament winner.

TV (Students In Communications Television)
On April 4 at 11:15 a.m. and April 12 at 4:30 p.m. SIC TV (Students
In Communications Television) hosted its premiere of Episode 6.
The episodes were seen on the plasma televisions and big screen
in the CT Bldg. Student Lounge. If you want to be a part of Episode

New England Tech SkillsUSA Chapter earned three gold medals,
two silver medals, and three bronze medals. Gold medal winners
were: SkillsUSA Vice President, Brian Kenney (MWD), for Adverting
Design; Asim Husain (MCT) for Technical Drafting; and Gordon
Sibbald (AAUT) for Automotive Service Technology. Gold medal
winners are eligible to attend the National Leadership Skills
Conference in Kansas City, in June. Those attending will compete
against other post-secondary gold-medal winners from around the
country.
Silver medal winners were: Crystal Harting (MCT) for Technical
Math, and John Bianco (AAUT) for Automotive Service Technology.
The bronze medal winners were Shannon Walsh (ELY) for Motors and
Controls, Jason Arcoraci (ELY) for Residential Wiring, and Peter
Cicerelli (AAUT) for Automotive Service Technology. The New England
