Autodesk Training Center at
NEIT Receives National Awards
New England Institute of Technology's Authorized
Autodesk Premier Training Center (ATC) was awarded three prestigious
performance awards from Autodesk last month. The ATC received awards
for Outstanding Performance, Instructional Quality,
Facilities and Staff. New England
Tech faculty member and CAD coordinator, Steve Lavoie accepted the
awards on behalf of the college's ATC. "I am proud of all of
these awards, but the instructional quality award is the one that
I am most proud of. It represents the best efforts of all of the
ATC faculty and lab assistants at NEIT," stated Lavoie.
The awards were presented at the
Autodesk One Team Training Conference and Autodesk Training Center
Manager meetings held in San Rafael, California. The criteria for
the awards are based upon the evaluations submitted by all ATC training
participants. All ATC's are required by Autodesk to submit evaluations
for every participant and Autodesk determines weighted averages
and subsequently cross- tabulates them to determine the leading
performers in the network of ATC's. There are more than 200 authorized
training centers in the Americas who were eligible for Autodesk
performance awards.
The training center at New England
Tech received the premier designation by providing training in several
Autodesk software vertical market applications. Vertical market
applications are those that use the software in a specific discipline.
An example of this would be the mechanical applications training
offered by the college in Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, Inventor
and Solid Modeling with AutoCAD 2000i. The training center is also
recognized in the architectural applications category by offering
training in Autodesk Architectural Desktop.
The ATC at New England Tech is managed
and operated by the college's Center for Technology and Industry.
