EMC and New England Tech
Continue Successful Training Relationship
4th Accelerated Degree Program in Electronics
Starts This Fall
On October 10th , the Fall
Quarter begins at New England Tech. Fall, it seems, has always been
associated with the tradition of returning to school or college.
For the past three fall seasons, New England Institute of Technology
has started an accelerated Electronics Technology associate in science
degree program with EMC of Hopkinton, MA. This year, for the fourth
time, EMC has again collaborated with NEIT to offer the accelerated
customized program which will assist EMC in meeting its need for
well-qualified electronics technicians and to maintain EMC's leadership
position in information storage and retrieval.
Because of EMC's continuing need for
technicians and rapid growth, twenty students will be enrolled in
this fall's program with EMC defraying the cost of tuition with
a unique interest free loan, which may be waived after one year
of employment with the company. Patrick Murphy, EMC's Human Resources
Operations Manager for U.S. Manufacturing, is extremely enthusiastic
regarding the unique relationship between EMC and New England Tech.
"This program enables EMC to continue to support growth in our manufacturing
areas and it also enhances EMC's image with our willingness to participate
with and support students in higher education," stated Murphy.
The program will begin in October
2000. Individuals interested in enrolling in this exciting program
should contact the Admissions Department at New England Tech at
(401) 467-7744. Individuals may also contact the college on the
World Wide Web at www.neit.edu or in writing at 2500 Post Road,
Warwick, RI 02886.
