Bridgestone/Firestone Encourages Students to Pursue
a Career in Automotive Industry

New England Institute of Technology's Automotive Technology
Department recently received a check in the amount of $5000 from
the Bridgestone/Firestone Trust Fund and the Firestone retail store
division.
The check is for the support of general scholarships to attract
more students to an automotive service industry education. This
is the second $5000 check received by the college from Bridgestone/Firestone.
The funds will be added to the college's ASE/Firestone/Bridgestone
Frank Gassett Memorial Scholarship Fund, which distributes scholarships
to second year Automotive Technology students.

NOMINATES SCHOLARS

Department recently released the names of students from the department
who have been named to receive the National Collegiate Medical Professions
Award. They are:

Beatrice Dean of Fall River, MA

Vanessa Sauco of West Warwick, RI
-
Maria Barboza of West Warwick, RI
These outstanding students were selected for this
prestigious award based on academic excellence in the medical field,
citizenship, leadership and dependability.
Their names will be published in the official United
States Achievement Academy Collegiate Yearbook which is published
annually. They will also be eligible to compete for scholarship
grants awarded by the Academy. New England Institute of Technology
is proud to recognize the students' achievement and congratulate
them on a job well done!
