NEIT Well-Represented at Award Ceremony


Ron Como (r) congratulates Kevin Isidoro

The National Association of Oilheat Service Managers (NAOHSM) recently awarded six $2000 educational scholarships to students wishing to pursue a career in oilheating. Students were asked to complete an application and write a 500 word essay on what their goals are and why they wish to better themselves within the oil heating industry.

Ron Como, Heating Department Chair, is proud to announce that Kevin Isidoro, a June 2002 graduate of Refrigeration/Air Conditioning/Heating and Gas Technology; and Douglas Nadeau, currently a Refrigeration/Air Conditioning/Heating and Gas Technology student, were both recipients of the scholarships. They accepted their scholarships in Hartford, CT at the NAOHSM National Convention. Ron Como and Heating Technology instructor, Clint Shurtleff accompanied them.

Congratulations to Kevin and Douglas!

 

 

On July 24, cookouts were held in the CT Building courtyard for the day and evening students to celebrate the beginning of the Summer Quarter. Approximately 800 students attended, and enjoyed good food and good company.
