Connecticut Technical High Schools
Under newly formed articulation agreements between New England Institute of Technology and the Connecticut Technical High School System, students taking specific courses in the technical programs at any of the 18 Connecticut technical high schools may earn college credit through the Advanced Tech Program at the college.
“By transferring credits, students may receive advanced standing and reduce the costs of tuition,” said Tara Totoro, Assistant Coordinator of High School Programs at New England Institute of Technology. “Advanced Tech will offer students an opportunity for a head start in a career area and also get them involved in a post-secondary education with a specific direction in mind.”
Judith Thompson, Assistant Superintendent of the Connecticut Technical High School System, said, “Earning college credit while in high school is an outstanding opportunity for students planning to pursue careers in the technical fields.”
Students taking specific courses at any Connecticut Technical High School may earn college credits toward an associate degree in the following programs: Architectural Building Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, Automotive Collision Repair Technology, Building Construction/Cabinetmaking Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Refrigeration/Air Conditioning/Heating Technology.
We congratulate the administration at the Connecticut Technical High School System for offering this opportunity to their students.
