CHESS
Come take part in a game or learn how to play chess on Tuesdays in the Student Lounge. Thank you, Dr. Don Soucy, Professor, Humanities and Social Science Department, for dedicating your time on Tuesdays to teach chess to the NEIT students.

Basketball is available for all NEIT Students at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness, which is located on Post Road next to Chelo's Restaurant. BLACKBOARD and EMAIL TRAINING

April 2005 - TECH ARTS, EVERYONE IS AN ARTIST
All students, alumni, faculty and staff are welcome to exhibit their art at TECH ARTS. All artwork submitted will be exhibited in the NEIT Library. Artwork displayed can be, but is not limited to, fine and applied arts. Photos, paintings, jewelry, costumes, furniture, sculptures, mixed media, pottery, woodworking, metal work, and digital graphics are just some examples. All artwork can be submitted to the NEIT Library from March 7 to March 18. For more information, please visit the student website @ http://students.neit.edu/

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
All students, faculty and staff were invited to attend the Digital Photograph Seminar, which was held on January 18, 20, and 25. The seminar was presented by John Szymkowicz, Assistant Professor in the Multimedia and Web Design Technology program. Thank you, John for your time and energy in putting this seminar together.

THE TECHNOLOGY OF LIVE MUSIC AMPLIFICATION - Sponsored By: Electronics Engineering Technology
On January 20, 2005, Kyle Sullivan, BSEET grad, from Bose¨ Corporation's Live Music Technology Group conducted a presentation for the NEIT community about the evolution of amplification technology and its influence on live music performance. An entirely new approach to amplifying live music was explained and demonstrated. Thanks, Kyle for a great presentation.

POOL TOURNAMENT
The next pool tournament is scheduled for Thursday, February 10 @ 4:00 p.m. in the Game Room. Participants will need to register in advance for this event - hurry, space in the tournament is limited. The pool tournament held on December 9, 2004 was a great success. The tournament winner was Ikel Lake, a Business Management Technology student. Thank you Thomas Hunter, Information Technology (BS) student, for volunteering your time to help to organize this event.
